What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Members support the farm by buying their produce in advance. This helps the farmer with his seed, fertilizer, supplies, greenhouse and fuel expenses. In return the members share the bountiful harvest. This builds a community relationship between the farmers and the members.

Family Share (Weekly Farm Pick up). . . $500.00

  • 20 Weeks –  June 20th – November 5th
  • Average of 9 items (2 items may be exchanged weekly)
  • Best for Veggie lovers (allows for some exploring of new items)
  • Fresh Herbs – depending on availability
  • Feeds a family of 4
  • Pick up days are Tuesdays 3-6pm OR Saturdays 10am-5pm

Single Share (Weekly Farm Pick up). . . $350.00

  • 20 Weeks –  June 20th and ending  November 5th
  • Members choose 6 items /week from a list of available produce
  • Best for Veggie lovers (allows for some exploring of new vegetables)
  • Fresh Herbs – depending on availability
  • Feeds a couple or small family
  • Pick up days are Tuesdays 3-6pm OR Saturdays 10am-5pm

Vacation Share (credit based share). . . $200, $300, $400 

  • Share is valid throughout the entire open season, and can be used for flowers as well as veggies, herbs and fruit
  • Each member receives additional 10% credit toward future purchases.  This credit can be used at any time.
  • Use of the ‘Pick your own Patch’ is permitted and items harvested are deducted from credit.
  • This share is great for busy families.
  • Best for Travelers and Picky Eaters.

ADD-ON ;

Deliveries . . . $175.00 (add $175.00 to any share to have it delivered)

  • this  $8.50/ week add-on gives you all the perks to add to your  share
  • Delivery Days are Wednesdays
  • All deliveries allow you to select your items by email.  We will send you an available list to choose from each week.
  • Each week we will pack a Valley Dream Farm Bag just for you.
  • Delivery must be within 15 miles of the farm. You must provide a cooler for warm days.
  • This share add-on is great for those who can not travel

What do I get for my membership?

The most delicious certified organic vegetables, greens, fruits and herbs of the season for 20 weeks (June thru November) of fresh harvest, a newsletter and recipes with every pickup, a reusable Valley Dream Farm green bag to pick up your produce, access to our ‘Pick Your Own Patch’ at Valley Dream Farm.

How do I get my produce?

On their first visit in the spring, members receive a Valley Dream Farm Bag that they bring to the farm stand weekly and fill with their allotted vegetables and herbs. Pickup at the farm is on Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00am-2:00pm.

What fruits and vegetables will I receive over the season?

tomatoIn addition to weekly salad items like lettuce/greens, cucumbers,  and tomatoes, you will receive a variety of the following and you may always choose from our fresh organic produce that is available at the farm stand and choose to exchange two items weekly (with the exception of fruit or when there is a limited crop) Typical annual items include beets, broccoli, lettuce,  scallions, cucumbers, summer squash, green beans, spinach, garlic and garlic scapes, yellow wax beans, tomatoes, pea pods, purple beans,carrots, radishes, celery, Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, snap peas, red and yellow onions, Zucchini,  Winter Squash varieties that include acorn, butternut, buttercup, delicata, pie pumpkin, jack-o-lantern, eggplant, turnips,red and gold potatoes, fennel, and several herbs; basil, dill, chives, cilantro, sage, thyme, our famous sweet corn, cantaloupe, watermelons, and several varieties of tomatoes from beefsteak , crazy colored delicious heirlooms to sun ripened cherries.  In the “Pick your own Patch” you will find herbs, peas, beans, cherry tomatoes and a variety of a few other items.

What happens to extra produce?

The farm supports community needs by donating produce to local food shelves, community organizations, Healthy Roots,  Salvation Farms and the Vermont Food Bank.  Valley Dream Farm  LLC.  has now donated over 50,000 pounds to those in need.
